The next part of the discussion will start with WW2 and how it changed the way we saw the tank
WW2
Again WW2 wasn’t a time in which tanks made the most of cable ties and mil spec cables but it has to be the time where tanks were used to win battles rather than just as an extra. If the tank had not been in WW2 then the war would have been completly different and Hitler may not have been able to take control of Poland to kick it all off. In fact it was during this time that the tank developed very rapidly and turned into a full blown weapon system.
Heinz Guderian who was a tactical theoretician actually stated before WW2 that “where tanks are, the front is” and this of course became reality during the course of WW2.
Tanks were actually the centre point to the entire Blitzkrieg tactics that Hitler had thought up. Radio was key and for Hitler it really helped as he stuck many radios in the tanks so they could communicate with eachother. Hitler used his idea to get a hold of France as well as Poland. The reason the tank became such an effective machine was down to Adolf Hitler. France was defeated in a matter of weeks and it was this that kicked the Allies up the backside to get them to build better tanks.
Of course the most famous tanks of the war included the Tiger and the Panther for the Germans and the Sherman, M4, T28 and of course the SMK for the Allies.
The worst part is that the tanks were responsible for many deaths during the war. The number of people that were killed by tanks was actually very high but no one knows exactly how many of the 56,125,262 people that died was down to the tank.
When it came to the Cold War it was important on which nation had the most amount of tanks and they are of course used in todays battles. There are tanks that have thier own ac fans.
